About
What is Communiversity?
Communiversity is a platform that connects universities and communities through practical, collaborative projects. It brings together four key groups—community partners, faculty, students, and teaching assistants—to work together on initiatives that make a tangible difference.
Who is participating
Four roles, the same one project.
Every project moves forward thanks to the convergence of four complementary perspectives—no one carries it alone.
Community partners
Local organizations, non-profit organizations, and businesses that have real challenges to solve. They submit project ideas and collaborate with student teams to achieve concrete results.
Faculty
Teachers who integrate community projects into their courses. They match the projects to learning objectives, form student teams, and supervise the academic experience.
Students
Learners gaining hands-on experience by working on real community projects. They develop professional skills while contributing to their community.
Teaching assistants
Graduate and senior undergraduate students who help coach the teams, provide mentoring, and support the faculty in managing the projects.
The route, in order
What do you mean? works.
Four steps, in an order that really matters—from defining the need to delivery.
Submit a project
Community partners describe the challenge they need help with—from a website redesign to data analysis, from event planning to research.
Pair the teams
The faculty reviews the submitted projects and matches them with their courses. They form student teams with the skills required for each project.
Collaborate
Students work directly with community partners throughout the semester. Course content is managed through our Moodle platform, while coordination takes place here.
Deliver Results
The teams deliver real, usable results — not just academic exercises, but solutions that create lasting impact.
Our conviction
The partnership university-community.
Communiversity is based on a simple belief: universities and communities thrive more when they work together. Students gain practical experience that goes beyond the classroom. Community organizations get access to talented teams and a fresh perspective. Faculty connect their teaching to real-world impact. Everyone wins.
Our platform manages the entire project lifecycle—from the initial proposal to team formation, collaboration, and final delivery—so that everyone stays easily connected and on track.
